Choosing The Right Evening Shoes I have way too many shoes in my closet. In fact, the number boggles my husband’s mind, and he makes a decidedly derisive noise when he sees me looking at them in the store. He doesn’t understand why I have so many, and even why I insist that I need more. I know shoes are my weakness, but that doesn’t mean I have to give them up. I do have to stop buying so many, and I do have to get rid of some that I have, but everyone needs shoes. If you are looking for the perfect pair of evening shoes, which is something I always seem to be doing, you do have to keep more in mind than just the way they look. I have made the mistake of buying evening shoes on looks only. If you like shoes like I do, you may know what I mean when I say that some shoes are just too good to pass up. They may look completely impractical, but you just have to have them. Even worse, if they are on sale for an amazing price, there may be nothing anyone can do to pry those evening shoes from your hands. The purchase is almost inevitable. I have had to learn to curb this, as many I buy end up being un-wearable. There are thousands of styles of evening shoes you can find out there, though generally not all in the same store, of course. There are shoe stores everywhere, however, and they all have shoes for evening wear. There is probably a bigger selection of this type than any other in most stores. All of those styles means that you are going to find many that you like. Even though that might seem like a bad thing, it actually isn’t. You shouldn’t just go buy all that you like, however, as you have to be sure the evening shoes are right for you. Some people can not wear heels. If you can’t, don’t assume you can get used to them and buy them anyway. Some can wear shorter heels on evening shoes, but the higher ones are just too uncomfortable. Again, this is a huge consideration. You may love a pair of shoes for the evening, but if they are too high, you are never going to wear them. You should also consider material and the overall fit. Don’t go by looks alone or you are going to end up with a closet full of shoes that you will never wear. Summary Choosing the right evening shoes all boils down to one main idea: Will you wear it?
