Collectible White Gold Charms

image

I have been collecting jewelry charms for about three years now, and I have amassed quite a sizable collection. For the most part, I do not make much distinction between different materials. I have cheap iron charms, silver charms, charms made out of plastic, and even ones made out of interesting minerals. My favorites, however, are the white gold charms.

I do not generally have very ritzy tastes, so it is pretty strange for some of my friends to hear how much I like my white gold charm bracelets. The reason is simple. White gold is among the purest and most noble metals. It has such a simple, yet elegant appearance to it. It looks clean, bright, and burnished. Of course, high quality silver also looks bright when it is shined, but unfortunately silver oxidizes easily. White gold charms do not have tarnish easily. They keep shining year after year.

My collection actually started when one of my my sweeties bought me a white gold heart charm a few years ago for my birthday. I had never really had an expensive piece of jewelry before, and at first it was a little bit embarrassed. I didn't know what to do with it. I didn't even have a good chain to put it on, so my Sweetheart quickly remedy that. When I got that white gold anklet, I decided to collect jewelry charms until I could completely fill it up.

At first, I started off collecting some white gold charms. I figured that they would go along with the one I already had better because they were the same material. Although they did look good together, I soon discovered that adding a little bit of contrast could do a lot to improve the appearance of the bracelet. By buying different kinds of Italian charms, I was able to vary things. I have some red gold, some silver, and even some ceramic charms on my anklet. It gives a more multicolored, fun look to it.

That relationship lasted a few years. About every six months, I would get a white gold charm as a gift. It was a good thing that I didn't stock up on decorations for my anklet too soon, or else I would have run out of room by the time it was over. Although things ended badly, I still keep those white gold charms on me at all times. I can't help it. They are my favorite pieces of jewelery.
