Comforting And Easy Soup Recipes
Nowadays, fewer and fewer people really take the time to prepare a good pot of soup. We all live such frantic, hectic lives, you see, that sitting down to boil soup stock for hours, cut up all the vegetables, prepare the meat, and season things seems like an overwhelming task. Nevertheless, it really does pay to try out a few easy soup recipes. Homemade soup is incredibly good. It is much better than store-bought soup hands down. There are plenty of shortcuts that you can use to minimize the time things take, but putting in the effort to cook soup will be worth it anyway.
One of my very favorite easy soup recipes is split pea soup. In my opinion, split pea soup is one of the greatest dishes there is. It is so incredibly easy to make, and very tasty. Basically, all you have to do is boil the peas, throw some diced ham in with them, and add salt and pepper to taste. There are a few other details of course, but that's basically it. A little bit of ham will give it a nice meaty undertone, but most of the flavor actually comes from the peas. This is one of the best easy soup recipes – particularly for cold winter days when you want something to warm you up.
Another easy soup recipe I've always liked is tomato soup. Basically, all you need is canned tomatoes, tomato paste, a little bit of chicken broth, and some cream cheese to thicken it up. You can add onions if you want, little chunks of chicken, corn, or any other ingredient that occurs to you. You can even make it into an easy tortilla soup recipe by adding tortilla chips to it.
Of course, the very easiest soup recipes start with stock you buy from the store. Usually, organic chicken or vegetable broth is the best. You can make great chicken noodle soup by simply taking some chicken broth, heating it up, throwing in some chunks of chicken, seasoning to taste, and putting in the noodles. To make it even easier, you can use rice instead of noodles. Noodles can be a little bit tricky to cook, but rice can just be left there in the soup. If you cook it a little bit too long, nothing bad will happen. It can be reheated many times without falling apart like noodles eventually will.

Summary
Easy soup recipes include favorites such as split pea soup, tomato soup, classic chicken noodle, or any other combination everyone enjoys. Search online for some great recipes for a new taste to try, or a twist on an old favorite. Soups are the classic comfort food and with winter coming are sure to be on the table more often.
