Fun Stuff To Make Whenever I'm bored or don't have anything to do, I wish I find fun stuff to make. I have always loved making crafts of all kinds, But recently I've expanded my hobbies. Nowadays, I don't only make crafts, but also design and build functional engineering projects. I've built robots, learned some basic programming, and even done some carpentry around the house. It's all fun stuff to make, and it's always a challenge to learn a new technique. The most important thing with hobbies of any sort is to try to get the most use you can out of your tools. A lot of different fun stuff to make actually uses similar implements. For example, if you buy some basic would tools you can do carving, sculpture, and also some light carpentry work. Try to take that particular set of tools as far as you can before you invest in a whole new hobby such as making fabric crafts. Not only will you become more skilled with the tools you bought, but you will save a lot of money which you can then use on making fun stuff. When I was single, I never had any trouble picking out fun stuff to make. I would just see what fit my whim at the time and dive right into it. Now that I have a wife and kids, however, I like to make kid friendly crafts as much as possible. With proper supervision, you'd be amazed at the range of crafts kids can work on. My kids help me build robots, solve puzzles, and even put together a cupboard. Of course I have to do the more dangerous work – the sawing and cutting – myself, but they can still help with hammering, measuring, gluing, and other tasks like that. Although I try to include my kids whenever I can, sometimes I find fun stuff to make that I would rather work on on my own. This is especially true when I'm doing heavier, more power tool intensive projects. I love my kids to death, but supervising them during woodworking can be a little bit of headache. On some days, I actually have more fun spending some time by myself. I think every parent needs to do this every once in a while. It is nice to be able to spend a little bit of quality time by yourself and get away from the burdens of parenting for a few minutes now and then.
