Mattress Protectors My daughter was potty trained at the age of two. Though we still put pull-ups on her every night for the next six months, she prided herself in being a ‘big girl’. My husband and I have one on our bed as well. We put it on once we discovered that our cats were putting claw marks in the mattress when they would attempt to jump onto our bed. With having a mattress protector, it has eliminated that problem. Sure, we have little claw marks in the mattress protectors but not nearly as bad as the damage that was being done to our mattress. Plus, buying protectors is a lot less expensive than buying a new mattress once it gets ripped to shreds. If you have animals that sleep with you, having a mattress protector isn’t a bad idea. If they have an accident, get sick in your bed or are slowly damaging your mattress, it just may be beneficial to you. They are not expensive to buy and they come in all different sizes to fit tiny mattresses and king sized as well. They can be found almost anywhere that you would go to buy sheets. They also have pillow protectors also, though they make your pillow seem more uncomfortable than it needs to be. So if you’re looking to keep your mattress for many years and would like to keep it in as great of shape as possible, you just may want to consider protecting it.
