Small Refrigerators If there is one thing in this world I detest it is small refrigerators. I am not talking about the mini refrigerators that you might take with you to college, or that you may find underneath a bar, I am talking about the small refrigerators that seem to come in many apartments. If you live in a house with a regular sized refrigerator you may have no idea what I’m complaining about. However, if you have ever rented an apartment you probably know exactly what I mean. There may be nothing more frustrating than this. I don’t care if I don’t have the dishwasher, or if the floors in my living room slope a little. However, the small refrigerators that seem to come in many apartments drive me crazy. There is never enough room to store everything you need, and the freezers are even worse. Most small refrigerators have even smaller freezers, and you would be lucky if you could get a regular sized turkey in there. How are you supposed to save things for a later date if you can’t fit them in your freezer? Though I know that small refrigerators were made to save space, I don’t think they are worth it. I would rather have a little less walking space in my kitchen than to deal with the small refrigerators. The one I have right now is so small that I get a backache every time I try to unload buy groceries from the bags into the refrigerator. There are many times my husband will make me do all the work because he doesn’t want to bend over. I realize that with a regular size refrigerator there are some bending involved, however, there is no way around it with the one that I have right now. I know that complaining about small refrigerators might seem very petty to you. In fact, it seems petty to me. However, having lived with one for the last three years I can honestly say that I hope I never see one again as long as I live. We are going to buy a house for the next couple of years, and I know when we do so, I am going to have the largest refrigerator that I can possibly find in my kitchen. If the salesmen at the appliance store even tries to show me small refrigerators I’m going to turn around and walk out. There are some things in life that you can put up with, and are others that you can only put up with for so long. For me, small refrigerators are one of these things. Summary Small refrigerators never seem to be able to hold all of the items most people need. Living in an apartment is usually where you will find these appliances.
