Do You Love The Thought Of Space Travel? My husband is in love with the thought of going into space. I am not so sure he would want to do it for real, or that he would be young enough for it at this point, but he is fascinated with it none the less. He watches anything that he can find about space travel and anything else remotely related. I would bet there are many more just like him in the world, and that is because space is still largely unknown to humankind, and that makes it interesting. Children often wonder about space, rocket ships, and funny looking aliens. They may want to experience space on their own. Not everyone can indulge in space travel. In fact, very few will have the opportunity, at least in the next few decades. There may come a day when traveling into space can be something that more can do, but that will not be happening any time soon. There are just too many problems at this time, and the most important are safety and cost. Space travel is extremely expensive, and very few have the money it would take to go into space, even if they had the chance to do so. That doesn’t mean it can’t be a dream, but it does mean thinking about other ways to experience this, at least in a virtual way. Like my husband, those that are intrigued with space travel can watch movies, documentaries, and special series on traveling into space. These are not the same as going, but you can get a feel for what this is like. Many movies done on this subject are done rather well, with some being as historically accurate as possible. Some details may be lost forever, but you will find much to be close to the truth. For many children, this is the starting point for a life long love affair with the things that go on above the clouds. We may always have a need for those who want to do space travel for exploration and scientific reasons. Children who want to be astronauts usually grow out of it, but the ones that will eventually go with chase the opportunities with passion. There are space camps these children can attend that can help them understand their dream, and to experience some things that may be some of the most exciting experiences of their young lives.
